STUDY: How do Spanish companies keep data?

This week we published the study that Mediacloud has made with the collaboration of MuyComputerPro and NetApp: ‘The data: who and how it is saved’. The report has been made between 58 CIOs of large public and private companies in Spain with a turnover of over 50 million euros per year in May 2017.

The study reflects the influence of the cloud on corporate storage and the trust that corporations have in cloud providers. Undoubtedly, one of the most fundamental parts in a company is the data. That information of either customers, business or market that generate the companies are a value in itself.

Here are some of the conclusions that have emerged from the report on corporate storage:

  • CTOs and system departments are primarily responsible for data
  • 50% of Spanish companies save their data in the cloud
  • Almost 43% bet on cloud hybrid
  • Comfort and safety, key factors for cloud climb
